4"x6" Graphite, unframed

Description of Mountain Landscape in Graphite

Mountains are so majestic and imposing, and so unendingly varied, that they are a perfect subject for sketching. But since I do most of my sketching from my own photos and we don’t have many mountains in Kansas, I drew this scene from memory and imagination.

My primary medium is colored pencils, but I also enjoy drawing and sketching with graphite. This piece is a graphite piece.

I used a single Prismacolor Pencil (Dark Brown) on Stonehenge paper (Pearl Grey.) Prismacolors and Stonehenge were made for each other, especially for sketching.
